The Capstone

"He is 'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone." Acts 4:11

This term has been written about a lot in Scripture. Most often interpreted as "cornerstone". Literally from the Hebrew used in the Psalms 118:22 quote here it means "head of the corner".

How about this? No question that Jesus is the head and the corner and the head of the corner too. The Jews, the builders of the faith, were rejecting the Messiah. Whether head or corner or both they were not accepting Jesus as who Jesus said he was. Especially the leadership of the religion.

Jesus is the head of the Body of Christ we know. He is also the measurement by which all other measures are verified. No need to split hairs over words. If you reject something that comes out of the heart and not from definitions. Do not reject Him. Embrace Him. He is the Head, the Corner, technically Head of the Corner and the foundation of our faith.

Ask your heart today. What have I done about Jesus? How have I responded to who He is? Reject Him or accept Him. Our choice. Choose today. Jesus, our Capstone and Cornerstone. Our Messiah and Savior. The measure and final piece of History and all who live in it. Ever thought of this? History is really His Story. Be part of His Story today.

In His Plan,
Pastor Fred
