"For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20
This is how it ought to be. Whatever is most important to you is what you speak of most. What is that? Is it a special someone? Or your child? Or your job? Or your team or interest? Or is it the weather, or politics or the latest social gossip or the latest news?
What can you just not keep quiet about? How about your addiction or fantasy or maybe even yourself? If I don't talk much about the most important thing, is it really worth sharing? If the truth about Jesus that saves us for eternity isn't the most important thing, then what is? I think the more we have seen and heard the more we talk about it.
Then on the other hand if our heads are full of so much other stuff we have seen and heard, maybe there is no room, no time and therefore not much to say about Him. Think about Him today. Go ahead, take a minute. Take several minutes each day and see how your head processes better everything else you see and hear. If we just stop talking for a minute about everything else, maybe we could make room for Him. If we thought about Him more, maybe we could talk about Him more.
Just a Thought,
Pastor Fred
