"The Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful." 2 Timothy 2:24
Lots of lessons here.
First, let me remind us that we are all His servants. We are all not to quarrel, and all to be kind to everyone. We may not all teach, but more of us should be able. Of course we all should not be resentful.
Paul will tell us in 2 Timothy 3:16 that: "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..." So nobody says any passage is exclusively aimed at pastors, or new believers, or old saints. The word of God is living and active for all believers. You might ask yourself today, what is daunting about this verse? Is it the kind to everyone part? Is it the part about not being resentful? Maybe the no quarreling part, or the conviction of the able to teach part? This is where the Spirit appropriates the truth to each heart as if is needed.
So, I got my application to my life, you can receive yours.
In Him,
Pastor Fred
