Our Friday Devotion comes to us from Council Member, Kim:

God wants us to live a life filled with joy, peace, and happiness………..what do you think the devil wants from us??? Let me help you out – he wants you to be filled with MISERY, WORRY and CONFUSION (and the list is a long one but I will stop for now).
Who would want to say yes to having a life filled with such pain and misery…….??? But I hate to say this and it is a true statement……..we as Christians sometimes surrender (maybe temporarily) to this. The devil bombards our minds with every weapon at his disposal every day of our lives. We are engaged in a warfare that never stops. You as a Christian can choose to put on the whole armor of God and stand fast on the Word of God. This has to be done daily my friends. Something I read recently stated that as long as we are alive our minds remain satans battlefield………now that should grab some of your attention. Satan offers wrong thinking to all of us (by the way this started in the garden with Adam and Eve) he will trick you into all sorts of lies. Sin is appealing but that is exactly how the devil wants you to fall into his trap. Fight daily to keep your mind where God wants it to be……..stop letting the devil try and over power your mind………..we have the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and we WIN and we will keep on winning.
