Our Friday Devotion comes to us from Council Member, Kim:
"and God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have abundance for every good deed" 2 Corinthians 9:8
I get a lot of devotions emailed throughout the day to me and this one came across my desk several months ago and I kept it because it really spoke to me and now God is wanting me to share this with my church family. I hope it speaks as much to your heart as it did mine………
God is able to give you a life where you always have enough of what you need, and even more than enough for every good thing that He calls you to do. Maybe as your read that, you are thinking, “I know that God is able to give me that kind of life, but I have trouble thinking that He will do it.” What would move God from being able to being willing?
This verse comes in the middle of a passage where God is challenging the Corinthians to align their lives and their finances with His purposes. He is calling them to sacrificial giving. God’s message to them and to us today is that when we give God our lives and invite Him to lead us however He wishes, then He takes responsibility for our lives.
And God takes that responsibility very seriously. He not only will meet your needs, giving you "all sufficiency in everything", but He will also give you abundance for every good deed."
God will ALWAYS supply you with what you need to carry out His purpose for you. But are you trusting Him right now ??
Trusting in Him,
Kim Caldwell
