"Whatever Gifts" Covenant Series by: Pastor Fred Snider

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

Here are just a few bullet points to help you read this passage with some understanding. It is referenced in Section 3 of our Membership Covenant and supports the encouragement for us to discover our gift and talents. So here are more than a handful of thought provoking ideas to get you thinking.

• Everyone has at least one gift from God to use for His purposes.

• We are individually responsible to seek, discover, cultivate, appropriate and apply our gift(s) in the Body of Christ.

• We receive our gift(s) from God and He receives glory when we utilize them.

• The fundamental purpose of our gift(s) is to serve others, not ourselves.

• All gifts should be faithfully administered with grace.

• There are lots of varieties of gifts and they come in many forms.

• God desires us to earnestly desire whatever gifts He chooses to bestow on us and empower through us.

It is as simple as daily surrendering to Him and asking to be used to further His Kingdom and to be a blessing.

Blessed and Gifted for His glory,
Pastor Fred
