“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:11
Thanksgiving is next week and once again it snuck up on me. This year I do not need to try very hard to find and acknowledge all those things that I should be thankful for.
Most recently I am thankful for the recent events of my life. The Lord set in motion an astonishing set of events. I lost my job of 16.5 years. I certainly was not expecting that. But the Lord had someplace else he wanted me to be. He arranged, through a series of events that fell into place, a new job for me. I am now working at Grace Harbor assisting the Pastor in his ministry and in what has now become my new ministry.
And what a blessing it is! I have been welcomed with open arms. I am experiencing something new, being surrounded by children, although I have been warned that by the time Christmas comes along I will be tired of hearing the songs for the Christmas programs. I have an opportunity to learn new software programs, minister to people and delve more deeply into scripture as I do my daily work. All in all a fabulous place to be!
I am enriched in so many ways. I am giving thanks to the Lord for my new opportunities and praying that others will see Him working through me and my new ministry.
May the Lord bless you and yours this Thanksgiving,
Patrice Parker
