Signs and Wonders

"I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord" Acts 2:19-20

Count on this. The Lord will return. He said so and Joel and most every other Bible author said so too.

His return could be imminent. Certainly recent events give us pause for consideration. He may return in hundreds of years or even thousands. Only God The Father knows. We should definitely pay attention, because there will be signs and wonders.

Caution please. We are not to base our daily decisions on the news or on someone's interpretation of the news or someone's end all analysis of Scripture in light of the news. So, be vigilant and aware, but be witnesses of the gospel too.

We certainly should not just wait for the end. Nor should we declare the date. But we should remind each other that it will come and to try to reach as many as possible before it does. Spread the good news and the warning. Love and exhort. Don't wait until you see the signs and wonders to do your part in spreading the gospel. Don't overreact to natural phenomena, nor dismiss it completely.

Be wise. We should not be fearful, but trust the Lord. Don't read into everything but do read. May we all be about His work and His Kingdom until the King comes.
