God Is Always With You

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." - Matthew 18:20

Last night was truly encouraging with our first Thursday evening worship service. I know for myself, Sunday mornings hasn't been much of an option with work, family, travel, etc., so it was nice to meet up with fellow Christians, put all worldly matters aside and simply worship the Lord together.

I encourage all of you to join us on Thursdays. Fellowship like that is extremely important because all too often there seems to be a news story about another random killing spree or rampage, fueled by rage against people unknown to the killer. Have you ever wondered how empty a person must be to commit such heinous acts? How alone they are in the world...the deep darkness that surrounds them?

The great deceiver continually tries to isolate each and every one of us, but we can defend ourselves through regular fellowship, breaking bread and prayer with other Christians. "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." (Eccles 4:12)

If a brother or sister stumbles, say to them, "Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?" (1Cor 3:16) Then rejoice together in knowing you are never alone, God is always with you and even darkness cannot hide you from Him!

Keep In Touch,
Alan
