"But it is God who judges, He brings one down, He exalts another." Psalm 75:7
I am so glad that God is the judge. He is totally and completely and perfectly sovereign. He is judge, jury and prosecutor of the whole cosmos and He alone is worthy of that responsibility. His decisions are always right, all the time. Whatever He rules is His divine will. His preventive, permissive and divine decisions are constantly accurate and righteous. He needs no counsel, has impeccable understanding and always knows precisely what to do.
He is omniscient. He not only knows everything that has happened, He knows what is happening and has the objective perspective of all that will happen. This being the case, how is it possible that we ever question Him? Why do we think we can assess His judgment? Who among us can decree anything? He can and will bring down whomever He chooses and exalt whomever He chooses too. In the same respect He can decide to not bring down and to not exalt whomever He chooses. Even after such a strong case is made for His providence, I myself, still wonder why sometimes. Why do some have to struggle or strive and others seemingly skate through life with so few bumps and bruises?
Ever ask these tough questions? More likely than not you will ask if you've not had it very easy than if you have had it relatively easy in your life. So what do we do when the wondering why begins to sour us on life, or people or the troubles that come our way? It usually helps me when a truly tragic, heartbreaking illustration of someone with severe disabilities or limited capability sets an example of gratitude and graciousness. One of those stories can put us in perspective for a while, but the question still lingers. Why do some people get blessed and others not? Depends on what you think blessings are to a degree. Also depends on how well you understand the whole picture of people's live too.
Beyond that though we must come to a point that it really doesn't have to meet our standards or criterion for what "fair" is for anything to be just and God's will. I must TRUST God implicitly, finally, without second guessing His judgment, just because He is God and I am not. It doesn't have to add up or make any sense or anything else for me to accept that whatever I can conjure up as an objection doesn't matter at all. I just have to, by faith, trust that God knows what He is doing and is ultimately enacting His plan and that my part in that is not to be compared to anybody else's. We just have to let God be the judge and His ruling will be the final word.
I hope this helped somebody as much as it did me good to share it!
God bless you, however He decides to.... :)
