Live for Him

Our Friday Devotion comes to us from Council Member, Dolly:

"It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last." Luke 23:44-46

Today and over the next couple of days, as you contemplate the impact of the life and death of Jesus Christ, allow yourself to imagine the darkness that came over the world at the time of His death. Imagine the sorrow and despair of those who loved Him.

To make this experience more real and to better understand the moment of Jesus’s death, attend the showing of The Passion of the Christ on Friday evening.

Then come to church on Sunday to find out how the story really ends.

Knowing he died for you and me, let’s live for Him.
