"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." John 1:1-2
In John 1:1-2 and 14, the Bible clearly declares, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. ... The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, full of grace and truth."
Jesus Christ is "the Word" - the "Logos"m "the Way", "the Truth" and "the Life"; and - no one comes to the Father except through His Son, Jesus Christ. [John 14:6]
The Bible also teaches that if you know "the truth" about God (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit), He (one God - three persons) will "set you free". [John 8:32]
And Jesus Himself said He did not come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it - as the entire Old Testament and the New Testament was, and is, about Him and the Good News of His ultimate sacrifice which redeems and saves all who will "call on the name of the Lord". [Romans 10:8-13; Joel 2:32; Luke 24:25-27; and Acts 8:26-49.]
Therefore, if you really want to know God, "seek His face" and "know Christ and His will for your life, you must read, study and comprehend His Living Word - the Bible (both the Old and New Testaments)!
This (along with prayer and worship, with thanksgiving) will enable you to have a real, personal and deep relationship with, and understanding of, the great "I Am" - the creator of the entire universe and of life itself.
Nothing is more important. [Philippians 3:7-14]
This is why Pastor Fred and the Grace Harbor Church leadership are committed to encouraging every member of Grace Harbor Church (and anyone seeking to know God) to be engaged in serious, consistent and comprehensive reading, meditation and study of the Bible!
In His Grace,
John
