Our Friday Devotion comes to us from Council Member, Kim:
I have been thinking these past few weeks about what I can share with you all the week before Easter Sunday. And this song has been so heavy on my heart so I am going to share this song with you……..please take time to read the words and really think about what it means to stand on Holy Ground……..
WHEN I WALK THROUGH THE DOORS, I SENSED HIS PRESENCE
AND I KNEW THIS WAS A PLACE WHERE LOVE ABOUNDS
FOR THIS IS A TEMPLE THE GOD WE LOVE ABIDES HERE
OH WE ARE STANDING IN HIS PRESENCE ON HOLY GROUND
WE ARE STANDING ON HOLY GROUND
FOR I KNOW THAT THERE ARE ANGELS ALL AROUND
LET US PRAISE JESUS NOW
FOR WE ARE STANDING IN HIS PRESNCE ON HOLY GROUND
IN HIS PRESENCE I KNOW THERE IS JOY BEYOND ALL MEASURE
AND AT HIS FEET SWEET PEACE OF MIND CAN STILL BE FOUND
FOR WHEN WE HAVE A NEED HE IS STILL THE ANSWER
REACH OUT AND CLAIM IT CHILD
FOR WE ARE STANDING ON HOLY GROUND
The next time you attend your church service – remember these words and if you do not have a church – please join us this Sunday to celebrate that Christ has risen – He has risen indeed. To God be the glory forever and ever.
At the cross,
Kim Caldwell
Kim, thank you for the reminder to take note of walking on Holy Ground. When I think of the words to this song, it makes me think of sitting alone in a church when no one else is around. How wonderful it is to fellowship and gather with others, but how amazing it also is to simply sit in the church alone with God when no one is around to see - coming to mind is the classic image from movies where a broken sinner enters an empty church and bows to pray. Anyone seen this? I've never had the opportunity to do that, but I want to someday.
ReplyDeleteThank you again, Kim for opening my eyes to the Holy Ground we walk on every time we enter Grace Harbor Church.
