The blessings of the righteous are many. We should count our blessings often. In this life we have three choices… obedience, rebellion or carnality. Or put another way, we can be spiritually grace-oriented, or lost or saved, yet weighed down with this world and its temptations, hopelessness and worldliness. That is why we must constantly remind ourselves of who we are and whose we are. I have put this in other devotionals and it bears repeating. We must be conscious of our position in Christ. Be in Him.
1. The righteous understand all things. (Proverbs 28:5)
2. Whoever leads the righteous astray will be punished. (Proverbs 28:10)
3. There is great joy when righteous men rejoice. (Proverbs 28:12)
4. The righteous increase when the wicked perish. (Proverbs 28:28)
5. People rejoice when the righteous rule. (Proverbs 29:2)
God has a personal relationship with the righteous. He is for us. He hears us, He is in us. The constancy of that truth will lead to understanding. The unrighteous are warned not to mess with the righteous. We, the righteous, experience a unique joy together. God favors us within His will. We bless others with and by our righteousness. I hope you are more cognizant of His righteousness in you than ever and that you feel blessed by being who you are in Him. I actually am sensing some of that joy right now. In the midst of a trying day, I am especially aware of who I am and whose I am right now; feels real good.
With Joy in Him,
Pastor Fred
