Soul Winning

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise." Proverbs 11:30

One of the reasons I love Proverbs is that they are often stand-alone verses that are jam-packed with nuggets of wisdom, within a mine of truth. You just have to dig and work at it diligently to claim the rewards.

Let me make eight simple observations that I gleaned from meditating on this verse as our devotional today.

1. The righteous bear spiritual fruit. 2. That fruit bears more fruit. 3. Righteousness is life-bearing. 4. Winning souls is wise. 5. Not winning souls is foolish. 6. The unrighteous do not bear spiritual fruit. 7. Unrighteousness is life-threatening. 8. We choose to be wise or foolish.

Choose today whether your life is righteous or unrighteous, life-bearing or life threatening, wise or foolish.
