Proverbs for Everyone (Part 10)

For some reason today I am applying all this wisdom to stewardship. We certainly should be wise stewards with our financial resources.

  1. Do not seek revenge, Let God do that (Pro. 28:23)
  2. Do not profane the holy. (Pro. 20:25)
  3. Haste leads to want. (Pro 21:5)
  4. A gift will suppress anger. (Pro. 21:14)
  5. Be sure you can afford the pleasure you seek. (Pro 21:17)
  6. Do not mock. (Pro 22:10)
  7. Keep a good name (Pro 22:1)
  8. Help the helpless. (Pro 25:28)
  9. Practice self-control. (Pro 25:28)
  10. Do not go with an angry man. (Pro 22:24-25)
Let me share a few bullet points that might help you think about the money applications here in.
  • Getting even is costly
  • Giving is a sacred act of obedience
  • Slow down the buying
  • Forgiveness is a precious gift
  • Debt is a tremendous burden
  • Financial woes are never a joke
  • Greedy and selfish are not good reputations
  • Help generously
  • Spendaholics beware.
  • Debt collection is never easy.
Very thought provoking. What do you think?
