A great study tool is to restate His Word in opposites. For example, “Do not lie” becomes “Tell the truth.” Let’s do it with this list for practice.
- A wholesome tongue brings life. (Pro. 15:4)
- Have a merry heart. (Pro. 17:2)
- Pity the afflicted. (Pro. 15:15)
- Control your temper. (Pro. 29:22)
- Do not bribe. (Pro. 18:16)
- Let the Lord direct your steps. (Pro. 16:9)
- Be at peace with your enemies. (Pro. 16:17)
- Gloat not when your enemy is in trouble. (Pro. 24:17)
- Stay put. (Pro. 17:20)
- Do not be rebellious. (Pro. 17:11)
Or…..
- An unwholesome tongue brings death.
- Don’t have a negative attitude.
- Don’t laugh at misfortune.
- Set free your peacefulness.
- Keep the playing fields level.
- Don’t follow the devil.
- Don’t make trouble with your enemies.
- Rejoice when your enemy is blessed.
- Galavant about.
- Be obedient.
In Him,
Pastor Fred
