Proverbs for Everyone (Part 7)

A great study tool is to restate His Word in opposites. For example, “Do not lie” becomes “Tell the truth.” Let’s do it with this list for practice.

  1. A wholesome tongue brings life. (Pro. 15:4)
  2. Have a merry heart. (Pro. 17:2)
  3. Pity the afflicted. (Pro. 15:15)
  4. Control your temper. (Pro. 29:22)
  5. Do not bribe. (Pro. 18:16)
  6. Let the Lord direct your steps. (Pro. 16:9)
  7. Be at peace with your enemies. (Pro. 16:17)
  8. Gloat not when your enemy is in trouble. (Pro. 24:17)
  9. Stay put. (Pro. 17:20)
  10. Do not be rebellious. (Pro. 17:11)
Or…..

  1. An unwholesome tongue brings death.
  2. Don’t have a negative attitude.
  3. Don’t laugh at misfortune.
  4. Set free your peacefulness.
  5. Keep the playing fields level.
  6. Don’t follow the devil.
  7. Don’t make trouble with your enemies.
  8. Rejoice when your enemy is blessed.
  9. Galavant about.
  10. Be obedient.

In Him,
Pastor Fred
