Proverbs have more than one lesson. Wisdom leads to more wisdom. What do these say to you beyond what they first said to me?
- Your estate will suffer if you are slothful. (Pro. 18:9)
- Even a child’s work can be pure. (Pro. 20:11)
- Do not love sleep, mind your business. (Pro. 21:8)
- The pure are proved by their work. (Pro 21:8)
- The borrower becomes the servant. (Pro. 22:7)
- Be diligent in your business so you can stand before kings. (Pro. 22:29)
- Drowsiness may lead to rags. (Pro. 23:21)
- Do your field work, then build your house.
Or ……. Maybe…
- Keep up your yard work.
- Let children work too, it is good for their hearts.
- Love your work.
- Your quality of work reveals your heart.
- Borrowing has consequences.
- Your work can be a witness to anybody.
- Get up and get going.
- First things first.
There are so many more teachings that come from each wise proverb. Contemplate on one for a while and hear what comes to you. You may be surprised, encouraged, convicted and blessed.
Learning With You,
Pastor Fred
