Everyday we make many decisions about what we say and do. I think it is tremendously helpful to add some wisdom to that process. A decision you will make is related somehow to one of these proverbs. Consider them carefully; they will guide you in your choices.
- Be grateful. (Pro. 17:13)
- Do not be biased or partial. (Pro. 18:5)
- Cherish gifts. (Pro. 17:8)
- Be slow to speak. (Pro. 29:11)
- Do not boast. (Pro. 20:14)
- Do not Judge without knowing the whole matter. (Pro 28:17)
- Do not waste. (Pro. 19:26)
- A gift opens a way for a giver. (Pro. 18:16)
- Use the lot to stop contentions. (Pro. 18:18)
- Keep a good conscience. (Pro. 19:2)
Once again I am astounded at how much wisdom there is in just ten Proverbs. We teach these principles to children. We have so much to learn and put into practice. I wish hindsight was not so often our teacher. Reread these and know that wisdom is foresight. Don’t let them only remind you of your short comings, let them protect you from your next consequence.
In His Grip,
Pastor Fred
