Proverbs for Everyone (Part 9)

We need not understand proverbs to know they are wise. With some of these today, think twice or three times before you blow by them, there is truth in all of them, search for it.

  1. It is good to have knowledge (Pro 19:2)
  2. Do not hurry. (Pro. 19:2)
  3. Keep servants in their places. (Pro. 19:10)
  4. Be discreet. (Pro. 19:11)
  5. Pity for the poor will be repaid. (Pro. 19:17)
  6. Speak from knowledge (Pro. 19:27)
  7. Keep the law and your prayers will be heard. (Pro. 28:9)
  8. Beware of wine when it is red. (Pro. 21:17)
  9. Be faithful. (Pro. 20:6)
  10. Do not flatter or be flattered. (Pro. 20:19)
We judge many things too quickly, including people, wisdom and actions. We always should try harder to understand the truth. Some wisdom takes a while and other is wildly apparent. I myself have a particular hard time with one on this list of 10. The more I consider the deeper wisdom in it, the better I can learn from it.
In Him,
Pastor Fred
